Feed a Fever, Starve a Cold!

Ironically, treating flu or any fever with Tamiflu and the inhalant version, Relenza, will likely be responsible for the majority of deaths attributed to this version of ‘swine flu’ as well as most likely having contributed to a significant number of SARS deaths.

I am surprise to learn that even these high priced experts and medical bureaucrats, on whom CBC and the other ‘media’ rely for the keeping us informed, seem to have forgotten that the most recent medical encyclopedias (including Wikipedia) state that the purpose of a fever is to kill viruses.

Thus the worse thing you can do is suppress a fever with ‘anti pyretic’ (fever lowering) drugs and that includes aspirin..

Once again our high priced medical schools and universities have overlooked the fact that over the centuries the shaman or witch doctor of aboriginal peoples around the world with their saunas, sweat lodges, steam baths and hot springs knew to kill a fever you had to feed it.

My late mother was a Master Herbalist, but she also had learned from her mother and grandmother that you feed a fever and starve a cold.

How do you feed a fever? Keep the person very warm, well hydrated (nourishing broth will help) and apply cold compresses to the forehead and base of the skull to keep the brain cool and prevent convulsions.

Vitamin C is well known as an anti viral – whether administered orally in doses of 3 to 6 grams or higher or by intravenous injection. – a least among those MD’s who do some open honest research.
