Swine Flu Protection

Just as a reminder – you can protect yourself….

In the early 1970’s, Vitamin C’s powerful anti viral activity was thoroughly demonstrated by Japanese MD’s in two hospitals in the Osaka Region of Japan when they eliminated serum hepatitis (now known as Hepatitis C) contracted from contaminated blood in transfusions administered after major surgery. Dr. Akura Murata of the Laboratory of Microbiology, SagaUniversity, Japan, took the trouble to look at the vitamin C status of the surgical patients and found those susceptible to hepatitis after blood transfusions had the lowest intake of vitamin C as opposed to those taking 2,000 milligrams or more daily.Subsequently, intensive care and surgical patients were given 6,000 to 10,000 milligrams of vitamin C a few days prior to and several days after blood transfusions. Proceedings of the First Intersectional Congress of the International Association of Microbiological Societies, 1975, Volume III. Tokyo University Press. Pp. 432-442.)

I personally know several medical doctors in Canada and the United States who have successfully treated Hepatitis C by prescribing oral doses of vitamin C in the range used in the Japanese hospitals or else by administering sodium ascorbate (a sodium salt of ascorbic acid a.k.a. vitamin C) intravenously.

At the height of the SARS epidemic, a (Toronto) Mount Sinai Hospital MD (on CBC TV) sneered at the use of vitamin C to treat SARS. 50 percent of the SARS fatalities were likely caused because of the mistaken use of aspirin or other anti pyretic (fever suppressing drugs) including Tamiflu and its inhalant version, Relenza.

Furthermore a distant family relation was free of mononucleosis after four I.V.’s of vitamin C administer over four days.

The problem is that most MD’s do not know these thigs, although the information may be found in any comprehensive medical library.

About 20 years ago, the late Dr. William Panton, a very caring MD, was reprimanded by his hospital for bringing vitamin C into the hospital for I.V. purposes for his patients. He was instructed he could only use what was available from the hospital pharmacy. His porblem? The hospital’s pharmacist would not stock nor compound vitamin C for I.V.

Even though Dr. Panton was the only physician on that hospital ward who was successful in treating his cancer patients – that did not count. It is experiences like this that help give rise to the claim “hospitals are the most dangerous place to be.”

I would bet dollars to doughnuts that CBC’s resident medical (and Big Pharma) apologist, Dr. Bryan Goldman, knows little, if anything, about the antiviral activity vitamin C and most likely never even consider giving it a try.
