Andrew brings up a couple situations in the United States that are endangering two nuclear facilities.

A damn in Nebraska is at risk and as a result a community downstream is flooding putting a Nuclear Power plant in danger. 10 mile evacuation zone declared.

Croft brings up the situation in Libya with the depleted uranium shells.

Croft talks about the discovery of fossil water which would turn Libya into a garden in Africa. Kadafi was sharing the wealth with the citizens of Libya and the new discovery of fossil water was to be shared with the people. Croft says just before the villianisation of Kadaffi the UN was about to give him an award…
Andrew hasn’t heard anything about fossil water or the other side of the Kadaffi story.

Croft brings up flouride being used in water supplies which is a byproduct of the chemical fertilizer and nuclear energy industries.

Andrew brings up Thorium again… and the safety of Thorium reactors.

Croft says they have detected Depleted Uranium in Holland… as a result of bombing??

In addition to the Nebraska Damn on the Missisipi River there is a nuclear waste disposal facility in Nebraska at risk from a wild brush fire. The fear is that the heat from the fire could ignite the drums and release the radioactive material in the plume.

Andrew brings up a point about checking facts when reading news on both mainstream news sources and blogs.

There is a worldwide change in public opinion towards nuclear energy. Germany is phasing it out completely, other countries are considering doing the same.
Croft talks about the increased cancer rates, birth defects, etc
More on depleted uranium and bombing Libya.
The rebels are killing the black people in Libya.
Andrew has no comment due to not knowing about this topic.

Andrew talks about how motivation and planning is very short sighted. Short term profits are more important than long term planning.

Croft commented on environmental housing with the least amount of impact on the environment.

Croft says the internet is a disaster for corporate media.

Andrew brings up full disclosure in broadcasting.

National Public Radio show, Marketplace was sponsored by Monsanto and the programing on Marketplace was probably influenced by this relationship. The program has been presenting increased chemical fertalizers and GMO products as a solution to world hunger (the Monsanto agenda) despite studies that suggest this plan is sure to fail.
